Role of DHT in Hair Loss

DHT and MPHL
Men with MPHL have elevated levels of DHT in their balding scalps. Scientists believe DHT contributes to the progressive shrinking of hair follicles and a decrease in the number of visible hairs.

DHT is a substance in the scalp that can shrink the hair follicle until it no longer produces visible hair. Scientists believe DHT and family history are key factors in hair loss. PROPECIA blocks the formulation of DHT in the scalp

Preventing Hair Loss

It is very important to not wash your hair too much.  What goes without saying is that you need a good quality shampoo.  This requires a good knowledge of what hair type you have.  Oily, dry or normal are the most common types.  Do take care to not vigorously dry your hair with your towel once you have washed your hair.

Another important tip is to gently massage your scalp. When you do this please make use of Rosemary oil as it encourages hair growth.
